Halo-Halo
Halo-halo means ‘mix-mix’ in Tagalog, and that’s exactly what you do — layers of shaved ice, evaporated milk, sweet beans, jellies, and fruit, all stirred together into the ultimate Filipino summer dessert.

Instructions
- In each tall glass, layer spoonfuls of the sweet beans, nata de coco, kaong, and macapuno, dividing evenly among four glasses.
- Pile shaved ice generously on top of the layered ingredients.
- Top each glass with a slice of leche flan and a scoop of ube halaya.
- Pour evaporated milk over the ice just before serving.
- Finish with a scoop of ube ice cream if using. Serve with a long spoon and mix everything together before eating.
Cook's Tip
Serve halo-halo the moment you pour the milk — the ice starts melting fast, and it's best eaten while everything is still cold and separated into layers.
